Thoughts on Work, Life and Other Things...
I woke up fairly early this morning. Normally I've been waking up around 8:00 or so. Today I woke up around 7:00. In favor of forcing myself to get used to an earlier schedule, I decided to stay awake. I've discovered that it's pretty hard to find things to do anytime before 9:00.
In any case, I ended up doing a few push-ups and sit-ups, took a quick shower and hopped in the car to go see what I could see.
After driving a fair distance up Highway 1, I decided to stop and price some things for my new apartment I'll be having here pretty soon. Well as I said..it's hard to find things to do before 9:00 and the particular stores I was interested in didn't open until 10:00, then I saw, Tropical Smoothie. You may remember it from a previous post. This was in a different location from the previous one I had visited but I went in and got a smoothie and it was great! Again, try a smoothie(from a decent place) if you haven't before.
I also went and followed up with Starbucks. I felt a little um...stupid when the manager asked me why I was applying there considering all the military experience I had. After I explained to her that I was just trying to support myself while I took classes at the local community college, she mentioned the pay I could expect to receive. It wasn't exactly acceptable for my needs, so I won't be taking that job.
There are possibilities with Bank of America, though. Personal Bankers make pretty good money(more than I have been asking from other places) and from what I've learned, the requirements aren't really that demanding. So I was thinking I could apply for that position, or apply to be a teller and place a strong emphasis on the fact that I am working with the intention of advancement. That plan was derailed though when I found out that tellers only get 20 hours per week. This wouldn't give me enough monthly income for the apartment complex to allow me to move in, so that idea is out. I think Monday I am going to drive up to the Verizon store and impress upon them the urgency with which I am operating and if I don't get some sort of positive feedback, then I guess I will have to start interviewing rather aggressively with some other employers.
On to other things...have you ever wondered things about yourself, burning questions that you couldn't answer? Not only because you didn't know the answers, but because you were unable to answer the questions. Questions that could only be answered by someone else. Or is it possible that the answers will only provoke more thought and uncertainty. Sometimes I think those questions might be best left unanswered....

I, for one, would like to hear some of those questions. Care to blog further?!?!?!
Enjoyed dinner out with the family, sure was yummy, I hope you had good success shopping - you had an expert along, no doubt about it. :-)
I can send you more on those questions via email or IM if you like. Not exactly wanting it to be general public knowledge. Great success shopping, I'll definetly fill you in on that also.
