I've seen better days

So it's the weekend. I started it out with a nice 2 mile run. That was a good time. Hopefully I'll be able to keep up on that. Following that, I drove up and stopped by the Verizon Wireless store I had applied almost two weeks ago. Apparently the people there were fairly excited about me working there and were going to be contacting me. Well the manager on duty at the time--who I spoke with before--told me he would contact his boss and I should call him back around 2:00. So I did and he said that his boss was there and I could come and interview with him if I wanted to or go to his bosses office on PGA Blvd.

The latter was a better option for me since I was at Palm Beach Gardens Mall(is that right? I'm not exactly sure on the name) So I was curious how long he would be at that store(in Jensen) and he said he'd call me back in 5 minutes. So I go find Robb, we hop in the truck and start heading back to Hobe Sound. I had placed that call at around 2:30. Well 3:30 rolls around and no call back. So we get to the house, I bang out a resume real quick and wait a bit longer. Still no call. At this point, I'm fairly angry because I feel like my time's being wasted, not to mention feeling like someone's jerking my chain. So I get all my things together and start heading north. I call him. He's with a customer and says he'll get back to me in 15 minutes. After 60 minutes passed nothing happens. At this point I'm way past being angry. I'm up in stages of anger high enough to where I'm not sure of what the most accurate term would be.

At this point I just decided that I don't care enough to waste any more of my time on this guy. So I pull through a drive through and get a 20oz Dasani and some Tylenol. Back on the road again, just driving now to kind of mellow out and think about anything besides the day's events. Then I see EB Games. Being in the state of employment that I am, I figure it's worth a shot. So I stop through and ask about employment opportunities. The guy at the desk was really cool and said that EB is planning on opening up alot of stores in the area in the next week or two and that there would be plenty of openings for assistant managers and that it would be more in line with the amount of hours and pay I am looking for, being that I'm independent, need to pay rent, etc.

On a better note, last night was great. We got all of the adult members of the family together and went down to Jupiter for a very nice dinner. I forget the name but it was really nice to be able to spend some quality time with the family. It was particularly special because Mom was able to be there with us.

Nothing else really new to talk about. Just about to settle in for what seems to be a quiet night hanging around the house. I'll be available on email or IM for whoever else needs a way to kill some time.

Until tomorrow....
