Ernesto Making you "Shutter?"

So everyone got all excited about this Ernesto nonsense. We'll see how it turns out. I've been monitoring things on the internet. You can get great information from www.noaa.gov They put up updates every 3 hours. It's been over Cuba nearly all day, so that's diminished it's power a bit. The center should get out over open water here in the early morning hours of Tuesday, so we'll see if that charges it up a bit.

I got a phone call from Robb this morning suggesting I go to the nearest gas station and fill up. And boy, was I glad I did. While driving around later on this evening, I saw lines for gas stations all along the highway. It was pretty nice not to have to worry about that. Some people have started putting shutters and plywood on their homes. Speaking of which, if anyone in the area is trying to get this done and needs help, please call me.

Today went ok, I guess. I can move into my apartment on Friday if I want. I also went and put in a few more applications. I'm starting to feel more and more anxious about getting this job situation worked out.

Tomorrow I'm going to help Robb out with getting some jobs cleared out and ready for Ernesto. This all came up so fast that it's creating alot of extra work, so it'll be nice to help out there. Nothing much else to say really. I'm in sort of a rut at the moment but considering how much I've accomplished, I'm proud of myself. Now time to try to relax a bit, sort out my thoughts and spend some time IMing & emailing people.

Yeah, people get pretty excited when a storm is churning. Problem is we've all been burned before by a storm being stronger and doing more damage than what was predicted so everyone has learned to be "prepared for the worst and hope for the best". Looks like this won't amount to a whole lot but we'll only really be relieved once it is gone!
