Apartments, Football and Socializing
So this morning I woke up fairly early(again) and went out and got some business taken care of for my apartment. Then I went and picked up Mom. I guess she was interested in that Tropical Smoothie. So I took her there for lunch. That was pretty nice.
After that I went and spent a couple hours getting the lease for my apartment all settled. That took a while mainly because the lady wasn't there when she was supposed to be and I was on hold for over 30 minutes with FPL getting scheduled for them to come turn on my power. Then we went and checked out the apartment. It looks ok. There were a few things I wanted her to have fixed, but nothing huge. Then I stopped by Rick's work to chat a bit and let him know how things were going.
So around 5:30 or so I head back to the house, preparing to settle in for an evening of perusing the internet and thinking entirely way too much than I should. Then I got a phone call from mom wondering if I wanted to go to a football game. I guess Josh Capps is the starting QB for his High School team. Faced with the prospect of driving myself nuts in the house, I gladly accepted.
It was kind of weird being out in a social setting. Trying to talk to people you don't know that well and what not. Admittedly, it's not my strong suit. Getting to know people that is. Once I know them though I'm pretty comfortable. In any case, that was a new and interesting experience.
Josh's team ended up winning. Some people were expecting them to lose, and I'd have to say once I saw the other team score first and then make a 2 point conversion, I was thinking the same thing. Josh's team(JCS) ended up winning 22 to 8. Definitely not a bad score. JCS has a great running back, that much is certain. I think Josh was a little sick today, so he might not have been at 100%. Even so, he looked good out there. Threw a couple big yardage passes and made some decent runs.
Tomorrow I'm going to head out with Blake and Jonathan for some fishing. That should be a great time.
Plan for the foreseeable future.
Find more social activities.
Study for classes to ensure good grades.
Lock down a decent job.
Run at least 3 times a week for no less than 2 miles each.
Retain sanity.
See you all next time.
